WJLA/ABC 7 and News Channel 8 has several exciting opportunities for top notch digital advertising sales reps. We will be launching a new local website this year that will leverage the news gathering resources of our television properties, with dedicated focus on making the web a must read destination for Washingtonians. We are currently recruiting for experienced digital advertising sales reps to sell to local advertisers. The successful candidate will have a track record of success selling mobile and web advertising to local DC advertisers and established relationships with local advertising clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

-Sell internet and mobile advertising to top local businesses across industries such as:
-Retail
-Financial
-Education
-Real Estate & Property Management
-Key National Accounts with Local Decision Makers
-Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual goals

-Ability to uncover advertiser’s unique needs and develop web only and cross platform packages that address those needs.
-Excellent relationship skills including the ability to develop collaborative relationships with clients, peers and mangers.
-Existing relationships with local advertisers, agency web buyers and planners.
-Familiarity with research tools including Scarborough, Nielsen Net Views and AdRelevance, and CMR/TNS.
-Excellent time management and organizational skills.
-Superior presentation skills including:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to craft a sales story, command an audience and gain agreement for proposed campaigns.
-Exacting attention to detail.
-A proven track record of success and a history of meeting and exceeding goals.
-Minimum 5 years internet sales experience.
