NewsChannel8 has a rewarding job opportunity for a producer. The responsibilities include producing, stacking, writing and booking guests for daily half-hour newscast focused on national politics, the White House, Capitol Hill, Federal Agencies and Federal Workers.  Producer must foster relationships with Federal Agencies and Political Groups and be responsible for developing an extensive rolodex of related contacts for guest bookings and story ideas. 

Qualified candidates should have extensive knowledge or interest in politics and the inner-workings of the federal government.  Producer must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.  Line Producing experience required.  Degree in journalism or related field preferred.  Send resume with coverletter to hr@wjla.com
