WJLA/NewsChannel8, a division of Allbritton Communications Company, is seeking an innovative, entrepreneurial Local Sales Manager (LSM) to build and manage a sales team for TBD.com, its high-profile new local website. The LSM will develop TBD’s sales strategy and hire a staff of digital sales executives. The LSM will be responsible for developing digital revenue streams that will include display advertising, search-related advertising, mobile advertising and other streams still to be developed. In addition to the aforementioned strategic and managerial responsibilities, the LSM will also need to be directly involved in specific high-impact sales opportunities. The LSM will coordinate daily with the traffic department and commercial production team and have weekly oversight of inventory management, pricing and forecasting for TBD.com. The position will also be responsible for development of annual budgets for both sales revenue and expenses. The GSM will have daily interaction with GSM of NewsChannel8 Sales and the General Manager of TBD.com.

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• A minimum of five years successful digital sales experience.
• Proven experience in forecasting and budgeting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships with clients, peers, and managers.
• Existing relationships with local clients and agency web buyers and planners across industries.
• Familiarity with research tools including Scarborough, Nielsen Net Views and AdRelevance and CMR/TNS.
• Experience with web inventory management and trafficking systems.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
